Who We Are
Payyoli Service Co Operative Bank is one of the PCC societies started in Malabar region under the leadership of Sri. Kelappaji for strengthening the public distribution system , before independence . Payyoli Scb registered on 23-sep-1946 and started functioning on 26-sep-1946 is later converted as Rural Bank in 1956 and finally it became a Service Co-Operative Bank in 1965.
The area of operation of the bank is extended to Payyoli Municipality , Thikkodi Grama Panchayath And Thurayur Grama Panchayath.We ,the first fully computerized co-operative bank in Kozhikode district was inaugurated by Sri. S. Sarma, the Honorable Minister Of Co-Operation on 31st-dec-1998.The new bank building and its shopping complex was inaugurated by Sri .M V Raghavan, the Honorable Minister Of Co-Operation on 19th –april-2002 . The Joint Registrar of co-operative societies , Kozhikode upgrade our classification as Class I Super Grade bank from 1st-april-2017.
Bank also engage many social and charitable activities. We started a Neethi Medical Store in 1998 where the people will get a rebate of 10 to 25 % on medicines .We also started a Manure Store and it helps the farmers to get fertilizers at low cost.
We give special attention to the customer’s needs and hence we maintain a good banker customer relation .The bank is managed by an efficient Board Of Directors under the leadership of Sri. Punathil Gopalan Master .The satisfied customers , Department Of Co-Operation Kerala ,Board Of Directors and selfless working staffs are the backbone of the bank .We are one of the share holder of Kerala bank for an amount of Rs 3.78 crore.
We hold 1.05 acre of land and a shopping complex with 78 rooms
Social Commitments

- Bank gives interest free loans for the purchase of mobile phone for the students to attend the
online class ,in the scheme of “vidyatharangini Loan ” under the Govt Of Kerala. - Bank provides consortium loan to ULCCS for the infrastructural development of kerala.
- Bank opens consumer store for providing essential commodities to the people at a price lower
than the open market (onachnada, Christmas chanda etc). - Bank opens school market for students at the beginning of every academic year.
- We Contribute to the chief ministers distress relief fund.
- we are also a part of successful distribution of social security pension of the Govt of Kerala.
- we give cash awards and momentos to the students ,who win high score in the SSLC exam.
